🌲 Bushcraft Simulator

The Survival Game We Didn’t Know We Needed

If you’re a fan of survival games, nature, or just enjoy testing your limits against the wild, there’s a new game on the horizon that you need to keep on your radar: Bushcraft Simulator.

This one’s shaping up to be something really special, and not just another “punch-a-tree-until-you-get-wood” kind of survival experience. Developed by Polish indie team A2 Softworks and published by Ultimate Games S.A., Bushcraft Simulator is all about authentic, grounded, and realistic survival in the heart of a forest wilderness.

🪓 Real Survival, Not Just Loot-and-Craft

What makes Bushcraft Simulator stand out is how seriously it takes realism. Forget over-the-top zombies or building a mansion out of sticks in 20 minutes. Here, you’re dumped in a remote, forested island and left to figure it all out like a real bushcrafter would.

You’ll be:

Purifying water (no, you can’t just drink from the stream)

Building shelters that actually make sense based on terrain and weather

Crafting tools the hard way (stone age, baby!)

Foraging and hunting to stay alive

It’s like Survivorman meets The Long Dark, but with a deeper focus on real-world skills.

🔁 Roguelike Vibes & Progression

Interestingly, the game’s also mixing in roguelike elements. That means each run through the forest is different—new threats, new resources, and new opportunities.

But here’s the twist: even if you “die” in a run, your character’s skill tree keeps some of the progress. So every attempt gets you better equipped, mentally and mechanically, to survive longer next time.

Very cool idea, and it gives the game a nice loop that’s rewarding without feeling repetitive.

🎮 Coming to PC and Consoles (Even Switch 2!)

Right now, Bushcraft Simulator is being developed for PC, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and even the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 on the roadmap.

There’s no solid release date yet, but a demo is expected to drop sometime this year. Fingers crossed for sooner rather than later!

📹 Want a Sneak Peek?

It gives a good sense of the vibe: quiet, tense, and really immersive. Definitely one for those who appreciate slower-paced, methodical survival games that reward patience and planning.

Bushcraft Simulator is looking like the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain—it teaches you something too. It taps into that primal part of us that wonders: could I survive out there with just my hands and my brain?

So if you’re into survival sims, outdoor skills, or just want a new challenge, keep an eye out for this one. I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a sleeper hit.
